French Canadian 75 and other champagne cocktails
In the same spirit of simplicity that marks each of our Odevi products, we’re sharing some recipes that are easy to create at home with our cocktails. Why not make your cocktails a little more festive by adding bubbles?
The most famous of the champagne cocktail bunch is undoubtedly the French 75. Named in honor of the cannons used by the French army at the end of the 19th century, the French 75 is definitely a cocktail that packs a punch!
French Canadian 75
You will need:
- 1 bottle of sparkling wine or dry champagne;
- 1 bottle of infused wild blueberry gimlet;
- 1 lemon for its zest.
Steps:
- Pour 2 oz (60 ml) of gimlet into a coupe glass
- Add 3 oz (90 ml) of sparkling wine or champagne
- Garnish with lemon zest
Yields 8 servings.
To make this drink, you’ll need our ready-to-infuse Wild Blueberry Gimlet. Get yourself a bottle or a refill.
Grapefruit mimosa
You will need:
- 1 bottle of sparkling wine or dry or semi-dry champagne;
- 1 bottle of infused grapefruit margarita;
- 1 orange cut into slices.
Steps:
- Pour 2 oz (60 ml) of margarita into a champagne glass
- Add 3 oz (90 ml) of sparkling wine or champagne
- Garnish with an orange slice
Yields 8 servings.
To make this drink, you’ll need our margarita. Get yourself a bottle or a refill.
Air Mail Hemingway
You will need:
- 1 bottle of sparkling wine or dry champagne;
- 1 bottle of strawberry daiquiri;
- 1 orange for its zest.
Steps:
- Pour 2 oz (60 ml) strawberry daiquiri into a coupe glass
- Add 3 oz (90 ml) of sparkling wine or champagne
- Garnish with orange zest
Yields 8 servings
